Culinary Medicine Week 5 (9/18-9/22)

This week in Culinary Medicine, we made delicious whole wheat bagels and pretzels, cream cheese, and muffins!

On Monday, my table partner and I followed a recipe and made whole wheat bagels and pretzels. After both the bagels and pretzels were cooked, we were assigned to make strawberry cream cheese for our class! When the bagels and pretzels were cooled, we topped them with our cream cheese and they were delicious!

On Thursday, we baked a variety of muffins for a morning meeting for our school trustees. The muffins we made were blueberry lemon poppyseed. Although the muffins were delicious, they had a purple tint.. which we believe was caused by leaving the frozen blueberries out of the refrigerator to thaw for too long before using them. Another group made chocolate zucchini muffins and they were the class favorite! We will for sure make those again soon! These muffins were easy to make and tasted great!
