On October 25, 2022, Sarah Page Martin, an alumna from our Bio-Med program, is in school to become a pharmacist. She graduated from high school in 2014, attended Samford University from 2014-2018, Applied to pharmacy school after college graduation, ultimately after a long process, started pharmacy school at Auburn and is now set to graduate in May 2023.
She chose to pursue a career in the field of pharmacy due to her shadowing experience in Bio-Med. Ms. Martin was drawn to how organized everything in pharmacy was and the more behind the scenes role that pharmacist play in the medical field. She is now in her 5th rotation of 8 and is still undecided on the setting of pharmacy she wants to pursue.
She also told us many wise words to keep with us as we go through our education, such as no matter how rough the path is you will always reach your destination which was very inspiring to me as a student. This lecture was extremely interesting in not only her career choice but in the way she has achieved her goals of becoming a pharmacist.
