On January 9, 2023, Mr. Jones, from the local Health Department came and spoke to our class about how E-cigarettes market specifically to the "poor, stupid, and young," and appeal to young people such as high schoolers.
E-Cigarettes are devices are used to deliver nicotine to the body. Nicotine is a drug and a stimulant which is highly addictive. It causes changes in brain chemistry.
Second Hand smoke can occur when one is in the close proximity of the smoke blown from tobacco products. This can cause ADHD and other mental disorders as well as poison.
Cigarettes and E-Cigarettes can have physical, emotional, mental, and financial effects, as well as a leading cause of serious issues such as cancer, heart disease, strokes, and lung disease.
Mr. Jones gave us a great lesson about this serious issue in our broken society. He left us with this quote, "The only time is now, what do you want? Life or death?"
