Trauma Week Day One!

On Monday, December 6, 2021, our trauma week began! This years topic was a drowning victim; So yesterday, our entire program went to the University of South Alabama to see the scenario play out with a lifeguard jumping into the pool, getting the drowning dummy out of the water, and with the help of firefighters and EMT's begin chest compressions. After the re enactment, we sat down with some people from the fire department and EMT's about their jobs and we asked them questions such as when you should and shouldn't preform CPR or when to stop doing them. Overall, this was a very educational experience and I can't wait to see what is in store for the rest of the week!
