On September 25, 2022, our Fundamentals Of Biomedical Science class kicked off our school year with a field trip to the University of Mobile to visit and take a tour of not only their state of the art healthcare facilities but also their campus! It was super interesting to see how advanced and realistic this technology is and how much it can help in the healthcare world! In the picture displayed on my gallery you can see I have a pair of glasses on, With these glasses on, I could see a birth of a baby with a Virtual Reality headset.
After that, We walked into the Cadaver Lab and talked with Dr. Craig about the importance of why he doesn't take women cadavers under the age of 50 in the slight chance she might be pregnant at the time of death. We then sat in on a real pediatric nursing class while they lectured on UTIs in children. This field trip was so eye opening to the great facilities at the University of Mobile and I'm sure not only myself but others benefitted from this experience!
